HyperLink 2015 Jacket Ceremony A Sweet Success Parents and guests watched as 11 members dawned the blue corduroy and golden emblems for the first time in their FFA careers. The ceremony was led by the senior officer team and was followed by a social with delicious cake and punch. The cake was national blue and had the FFA emblem printed in the center along with "Nebraska" across the top and "Schuyler" across the bottom. Reporter Melizza Ruiz gave a history of the creed and the meaning it brings to over 600,000 FFA members annually before Roberto Pedro recited the creed for the audience. Each new member was presented with their jacket by the Sentinel Brook Horejsi, within each jacket a letter was found written to the members. Tyanna Pena and Josselin Castro read the letter aloud to the group of new members explaining the pride and opportunity the jacket represents. Secretary Tyler Kohl added these new members to the official roster of Schuyler FFA and Parliamentarian Kendra Marxsen welcomed them to the National FFA Association. We can not be happier to welcome all new Schuyler FFA members; Josenya Bricachek, Jacob Sobota, Jarixa Linares, Roberto Pedro, Tyanna Pena, Rachel Shonka, Cassandra Machalan, Kasey Brabec, Madeline Lopez, Josselin Calderon Matrix Kleckner, Jasmin Jerez, Mario Encarnacion and Kyle Muehlich.

2015 Schuyler Jacket Ceremony The 2015 Schuyler FFA Jacket Ceremony will be held at the Schuyler Central High School Commons area at 7pm Thursday November 19th. The FFA Jacket Ceremony is the first of many achievements FFA members will experience through their FFA career. The following members will be receiving their FFA Jackets this night; Josenya Brichaceck, Jacob Sobota, Jarixa Linares, Roberto Pedro, Tyanna Pena, Rachel Shonka, Cassandra Machalan, Kasey Brabec, Madeline Lopez, Josselin Calderon, and Matrix Kleckner. The Jacket Ceremony will include a presentation of the FFA Creed by Roberto Pedro. The Creed was written in 1928 by Professor Erwin Milton Tiffany, who was the chief teacher in the Department of Agriculture Education at the University of Wisconsin. Tiffany once wrote “I have often said that it is the organization that has made the creed what it is, and it is the work of the members and leaders that has made the organization what it is. Without these, the creed itself would be meaningless.” The Schuyler FFA Chapter is also preparing for its district Leadership Skill Event contest held at East Butler High School in Brainard, Nebraska on December 7th 2015 beginning at 9:30am. Members competing at district Leadership Skill Event are; Roberto Pedro and Rachel Shonka presenting the FFA Creed, David Svoboda, Josh Pflasterer, and Tyler Kohl as well as Kendra Marxsen, Brooke Horejsi, and Marisol Velez presenting an Agriculture Demonstration, Melizza Ruiz and Jesse Westerbuhr presenting a Natural Resource Speaking, Kasey Brabec Presenting a Extemporaneous Speaking, Dylan Wolfe and Caleb Novak presenting a Job Interview.
